Susan Coe

Founder and Owner

Susan Coe is a US Army Veteran and entrepreneur. Susan, who received her bachelor’s in accounting from Nova Southeastern University, is the sole owner of Peace, Love & Zen Holistic Wellness Center and Howlers bar both located in Pittsburgh. She is also the proud mother of her daughter, Melina.
Prior to Susan’s journey into holistic wellness and the healing arts, she spent 12 years as a flight attendant and 20 years as an entrepreneur. Through her personal experiences and endless research, Susan founded Peace, Love & Zen in 2013. With the motto “it’s easier to stay well than get well,” Peace, Love & Zen’s mission is to empower individuals to initiate, expand, and maintain their physical and spiritual wellness through the education and guidance of experienced and caring staff. Susan believes stress reduction and health maintenance are key elements to personal success. As such, she routinely offers complimentary services to at-risk populations from area non-profit agencies, and she provides discounts for active military, veterans, senior citizens, and minors.
Susan is active in the community, serving as the Vice President on the East Liberty Quarter Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for the past four years. Susan was drawn to the East Liberty neighborhood as she saw it as a developing area with a great need for her services. Susan loves to spend time outdoors, especially in Florida.
My goal is to provide a sanctuary for clients to de-stress while receiving state-of-the-art natural therapies.

Dan Mangus

Acupuncturist

Dan began learning about traditional Chinese Medicine at the age of 12 while practicing martial arts leading to a lifelong passion for acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). After a severe auto accident, acupuncture helped him to recover fully and heal at a much faster rate than was expected.
Following his recovery, Dan enrolled in an acupuncture program at Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine of the New York Chiropractic College where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture in 2019. While in school, Dan completed 3000-plus hours of clinical training during which he gained proficiency in modalities that are instrumental in Traditional Chinese Medicine such as Acupuncture, Zhen Gu Tui Na (Chinese orthopedic massage), gua sha, moxibustion, cupping, and qi gong.
He also furthered his understanding of TCM by studying at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM in Hangzhou China where he completed 100 hours of clinical training in advanced acupuncture and tui na. There he observed how Eastern and Western medicine can be combined to obtain the highest level of recovery for patients. Dan continues to incorporate this in his practice.
Specialties include treatment of painful conditions both acute and chronic; mental health concerns such as stress or anxiety; digestive issues including IBS and Celiac disease; asthma, immune function disorders, and other autoimmune conditions.
I provide a natural form of medicine to help bring the body back to a healthy, harmonious state in order to allow healing from a variety of different conditions.

Joe Nezovich

Advanced Integrative Bodywork Therapist

Joe became interested in natural healing during grade school when he completed a book report about vitamins and minerals. His journey into bodywork began when he learned Thai Reflexology and received excellent results while working on his family members. The therapeutic energy bodywork that Joe utilizes has evolved throughout his 20 years in practice. He refers to it as transformational healing and the results are frequently amazing. Joe has a true love for the healing arts and you will find his work extremely effective. He continues to learn new techniques to assist his clients on their wellness journey. He is a key element on the staff of Peace, Love & Zen.
Everyone can benefit by adding monthly massages and bodywork to their health maintenance regimen.
